Bay Marine Technology is the best in the business for technical support and services. They are highly skilled professionals that know what to do and how to get it done quickly, which saved me money and lost operating time. In 1995 BMT did trouble shooting on an electronics system conflict which several others could not correct. In two hours it was solved, system upgraded and never had a problem since. This started a long partnership, over 15 years of professional, courteous and timely support. They have installed thru hulls, antennas’, generator system and wiring throughout vessel, auto pilot with twin stations, several Plotters/Depth finders and even a Laptop Plotter interface and new 48 mile radar unit with full interface. You get what you pay for they say, well with BMT you get it all and more. Their technical support is a phone call away, at any hour, when you need it most. They take care of and value their repeat customers. Service is the heart of their business.

I have used BMT several times in the past 10 years on two commercial boats. The first time Bruce helped me wire and set up a Furuno radar unit on a 35-foot crabbing boat. The installation gave me years of flawless service. Bruce helped me move the electronics from this boat to a 40-foot charter boat and got everything running properly. I upgraded the electronics to a used Furuno NavNet black box system. It needed many cables, hubs, etc. Bruce checked out all the many components, supplied all the necessary cables, and got it up and running. From time to time I have called with marine electronic questions. They were always professional, friendly, and helpful.

All of my dealings with BMT have been positive. They are prompt, reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with.

In the 20 years I have been using your services on many different issues with several different boats from alignment issues through full electronic packages to break down on a Sunday afternoon. You have never disappointed. As you know I own 2 marinas and I always refer your services. You provide service that is reasonably priced, timely, and very professional, you guys are smart and you know marine systems. I had an electronic gremlin in my 35-foot Donnelle with Yanmar power and electronic controls. Every few months it would simply not go into gear. I took the boat to the local approved Yanmar repair facility and they could not find a problem but felt it must be the wiring harness. So $1000.00 later with a new wiring harness and no use of the boat for 2 weeks, I took some friends out to dinner on the boat and once again it would not go into gear. I called Bruce the next morning and he met me on the boat and methodically began checking connections and the electronic control modules. Within 30 minutes he diagnosed and fixed the problem which was a loose connection on a servo module, no parts and the problem has not reoccurred. It’s such a pleasure to deal with people who actually understand problems instead of changing out parts until the problem goes away.

In short, I recommend BMT to anyone who has a marine-related problem, or who needs electronic systems installed or fine-tuned. They are definitely worth the price and the quality of their work will save money and grief in the long run.
